Hi everyone! If you gnome my stamp selection, you gnome I love with MFT’s “You Gnome Me” set by Birdie Brown. I love everything by her, she is such a talented illustrator and stamp designer. So I just had to use one of the gnomes for this week’s challenge at MFT. It’s a sketch challenge this week and I wasn’t too sure how to make it work with my style. I tried my best and ended up with a pretty cool design.
I started by ink blending some yellows and orange onto a 2.75 square piece of cardstock. The yellow blended too much with the orange but still looks nice. Then I cut some grass with MFT’s “Grassy Fields” die and popped it up over the background. Then I stamped one of the gnomes that I hadn’t used yet and colored him in. I used my Copics for his hair and boots and my Zigs for the rest. I love mixing these two mediums. Ten I fussy cut him out and popped him up onto the square. Then I adhered it all flat to an A2 sized card base. For the sentiment I white heat embossed it into some dark brown card stock. And that finished off the card!
