Hello, everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted here on my own blog- hopefully I’ll be back to posting more frequently soon! But today I’m here to share the card I created for the Kat Scrappiness Breast Cancer Awareness Card Challenge! There is lots of inspiration over at KatScrappinessBlog.com along with a sale, challenge, prizes, and our wonderful sponsor- Newton’s Nook!

Here’s how I made it! I started with a plain white panel and used my Stampoholic Nano to create a background using the Newton’s Support stamp set from Newton’s Nook. Then I stamped the main image from the same set using Simon Says Stamp ink so I could use both my Copics and Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. After doing all of the coloring I stamped a sentiment and used one of the dies from Kat’s Stitched Square die set to create the rectangle panel. Yes!- you can create a rectangle using a square die! All I did was cut it once lining it up on the left side then again on the right to create the rectangle shape! I popped up both panels on a white card base. And of course I had to add a few of Kat’s sequins. I used the yellowish tan ones from the Aww-tumn Mix.

This was such a fun and meaningful card to make. I hope you go take a look at the other designer’s work using this set and check out the challenge! And please help spread the word about cancer! It effects so many people. Thank you to Newton’s Nook for helping with awareness!

  1. Hello Kevin! I think this is my first visit and I love your creations! This card today is so lovely – the soft pinks in the background really make the image in the center pop! Beautiful job coloring too! Thanks for being part of this hop and helping raise awareness!
