CYCI 146

Hi guys! Its time for a new challenge and a new format. We are on Facebook now! Visit CYCI there for more details. Amber grouped some super awesome colors together for this weeks challenge! Check ’em out!

I love this warm palette with a pop of teal! I decided to CASE one of Rachel Bergenfield’s card this week. Here is my version of her floral heart card!

I started by die cutting a Kat Scrappiness heart and stamped some mums from W+9 onto it. I Copic colored them in with the challenge colors and popped it onto a white card base. I added a sweet Mama Elephant sentiment to finished off.

Party Puppy

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve had time to make a card for some challenges so when I had some downtime today for about an hour I decided to make a birthday card for one of my roommate’s younger sister who is turning 5 or 6. We’re not really sure lol. I used inspiration from Cupcake Inspiration and The Cat’s Pajamas challenges! The themes were plaid and geometric shapes. Check it out!

I started by die cuttingĀ a couple star shapes, one with a plaid paper from Lawn Fawn. I layered them over a Fancy Scalloped Rectangle die from Kat Scrappiness. Then I stamped and Copic colored one of the rockin’ pups from Mama Elephant. A simple sentiment and some sequins finished it off!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure to check out these awesome challenges! I hope to get back to making cards for fun again soon! It’s been very busy and I can barely keep up with all the DT and guesting spots lately!

SAT February Sneak #3

Hi, guys! It is the final day of sneak peaks for February featuring the new stamps from StampAnnieThing! Today, Steampunk Maggie gets to take the spotlight. She is definitely the punkiest stamp ever. I love the cool hat that comes with her set! Check her out!

For my project I made a steampunk CAS card using an embossing folder and some washi tape. I colored Maggie’s sweet dress in a bright and bold red to really make her stand out against the kraft background.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope to see some creations featuring the SAT new release!

SAT February Sneak #2

HI, everyone! It’s time for another sneak peak from StampAnniething! Today we have Dean! I was so glad to see another guy in the SAT lineup! Check him out!

My card is very CAS with Dean looking prtety swaggerific in front of a soft Distress Inked background. I used Copic markers to color him in then added the sentiment towards the bottom to finish it off.

Thanks for checking out Day 2 of the February sneak peaks and hope to see you tomorrow for the third and final sneak!

SAT February Sneak #1

Hey guys! Today is the first day of the Stamp AnnieThing February Release Sneak Week! Today’s sneak peek features this retro pin-up Betty Lou! Isn’t she cool?!

For my card today is wanted to use some of the patterned paper in my stash but still keep the focus on Betty Lou. So, I mounter her on a die cut oval from Kat Scrappiness and adhered that onto a really nice plaid from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to come back tomorrow for another sneak!

Guesting for ColorThrowdown

Hi everyone! I was selected a couple challenges ago to be this week’s guest designer for the Color Throwdown! I’m so excited to be their guest once again!

This week’s colors are red, pink, chocolate, and white. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day card. Check it out!

I started by white heat embossing the beautiful mums from W+9 onto a white panel. Then I used a few different colors of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers as well as some Distress Inks to watercolor. I was not super detailed in my coloring. I wanted a super loose look to my card. I started with red in the center then faded out to a bright pink. I added a brown background around the florals which is my favorite part. Weirdly, brown is one of my favorite colors! Then I added a heat embossed sentiment from Mama Elephant onto a deep chocolate brown strip of paper (free paint strips from Walmart). I cut about an eighth of an inch off the side so I could do some ink blending in my card base. I used the same colors as the painting fading from brown to pink then adhered the watercolroed panel flat onto my cardbase. This was such a super fun project and my first time watercoloring florals like this! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you playing along with CTD#428!!!
