INTRODUCING…

Hey guys! I have some super exciting news! I am back on YouTube!!! I have a couple videos up from a while ago but these new videos are going to be a lot different. The videos I will be doing are going to be all about fun! No instructions on what to do or how to do a technique. Jennifer and Kristina can show you much better than I can. So every video is going to feature myself and a special guest- this time its my girlfriend, Cheryl. We are going to randomly choose a stamp set, die set, and a card designer as inspiration. So no planning, sketching, or anything before hand. If you watch it please let me know what you think and any suggestions for the future videos! Thanks!

Ahoy, Matey!

Hi everyone! I’ve got a really fun card to share! It’s super CAS and I really love it. I used the colors from the current challenge at Color Throwdown.

I instantly thought of doing a water themed card when I saw the palette. So check it out-

IMG_6224.JPG

I started by grabbing coordinating colored Distress Ink cubes and laying down some color in a wavy pattern. Then I added the most adorable little ship from Ahoy, Matey by Lawn Fawn. A sentiment stamped in black finished it off.

Glitter Hugs

Hi guys! I have a very classy and sparkly card to share today. I used the current sketch over at MFT as inspiration.

IMG_6216.JPG

I thought the rectangle frame frame would be perfect for a shaker! So here it is-

IMG_6217

I created the frame using two Kat Scrappiness double stitched rectangle dies. I knew I wanted it to be black, but I still wanted to keep the stitching details white. So I cut it from white cardstock and ink blended Black Soot which didn’t get into the stitching lines. Some acetate a foam tape completed the shaker portion. I backed it with some black and white paper from MFT. Some gold and glitzy sequins from KS and diamonds from Honey Bee make for quite the mix. A die cut heart, also from KS, was the perfect stage to show off the HUGS die from MFT cut with glitter paper.

I Can’t Belive It’s Butterfly

Hello everyone! I’m back with another card to share with you guys. This time I used a sketch from (CAS)E This Sketch and  the center column from the new Tic Tac Toe challenge.

IMG_6202

The sketch is perfect for a clean and simple card. But 6 out of the 9 square in the Tic Tac Toe board really caught my eye and I wanted to create a more layered country inspired card this time around. Check it out-

IMG_6205

I used my newly newly beloved woodgrain embossing folder on a white cardbase before layering on a twine bow. Then a stitched rectangle layer clear heat embossed with a beautiful butterfly image from Crafter’s Companion was added. Finally, a white heat embossed sentiment finished it off. This is typically not my style of card, but I absolutely love it! Look out for more of this style from me soon!

CASology Home

Hey guys! I have another card to share with you today! The current cue card at CASology is HOUSE, so I created this fun card featuring a homey sentiment.

IMG_6200

DT members Jen and Rachel really influenced the design with the layout and colors. Check it out!

IMG_6183

I used some whimsy letters and a house from W+9 to spell out HOME. I trimmed out the word after coloring the house and layered into a kraft cardbase. Some white pen stitching detail finished it off (there’s stitching above the layer but the angle of the picture is hiding it).

You will also catch a glimpse of some brand new dies and sequin embellishment mixes that are also exclusives. Check out all of the exclusive products at KatScrapiness.com

IMG_6148I started by creating the shaker portion of my card. I used the Rope Embossed Circle Dies from Kat Scrappiness to create the window to show the brand new Madison Avenue mix and Clear AB Solid Stars Sequins. I added a grass die and a blue sky using Distress Inks. On the grass, I stamped “I move” from the Interactive Card Directions Set using Versifine Onyx Black. Then I added Lola the Giraffe with a brad behind her head so she can swirl around the shaker window. This makes it double the fun and double the interactive cardiness! How awesome is that?! I Copic colored Lola and fussy cut her out. A simple brad attached to the center portion of the car allows her to spin around on the card.
I hope you have been inspired by my project. In order for your chance to win one of the brand new stamp sets or one of the three grand prizes you must comment on all the designers blogs and the Kat Scrappiness blog. Hello Suitcase Friend

Hey guys! After being out of town for most of last week I was finally able to get back to cardmaking. I have a really cool card to share today featuring some colors from the current challenge at Color Throwdown and the sketch from Fusion Challenge. Check them out-

IMG_6158

IMG_6157

I think these colors would work awesome for for a masculine card, but this sketch was calling for an intricate image to feature some Copic coloring so here’s what I came up with-

IMG_6155

This photo was taken at 3am with my kitchen logging so it’s not the best, but hey/ these challenges end too soon to wait until morning. Anyways, I used an image from Stamping Bella and a die set from MFT. I Copic colored the image and popped up the hidden sentiment with some fun foam. Some sweet scalloped detail is brought to you from a Scalloped Circle Die by Kat Scrappiness. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug. And that’s all there is to this super clean and simple card! Hope you found some inspiration! Have a great day!

Mr. & Mrs.

Hi everyone! I have a super cool card to share today! This is one of my favorites!!! I made it using some inspiration from Inspired by All the Little Things.

IMG_6098.PNG

I loved the wording mixed with the florals in the photo. So here’s my take-

IMG_6097

I started by stenciling on some polka dots using Distress Oxide Ink and a MFT stencil. Then I stamped some flowers from W+9 onto the panel. A die cut sentiment from Paper Smooches finished it off.

This was a really fun card to make. Mixing brands and seeing the results is so much fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Over the Moon

Hey guys! I made a few cards today and here is the first! I used thbcuurent sketch at MFT as inspiration!

I really liked how layered this sketch was, yet I still kept it clean and simple  check it out-

IMG_6090.JPG

I used MFT’s Space Explorers stamp set for all the images as well as the sentiment.  I used their large polka stencil as the banner portion of the sketch. A couple heart dies from Kat Scrappiness pulled it all together! Thanks for stopping by!
