Bitty Bears are Back

This is probably a surprise to most of you, but my stamp collection is not very large. I have about 1 shoe box full of stamp sets, including background stamps and coordinating dies. What I am getting at is that I only buy what I really love! So when these Bitty Bears came out last year(?) I knew I needed them! I use them every once in a while, but when I do- I always end up loving the result! Check out the latest card made with my favorite little critters-

BB

This card is super clean and simple, but that’s what I love! I stamped out 4 bears and colored them with my Copics, my fav is the polar bear! Then I stamped a sentiment and popped up the panel on a gray card base. That was it! Simple, right!

I used the MFT WSC as inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and heave a great day!

Sketchy Rose

Hey, card making friends! Florals seem to always be trending within the card making industry. But, I am never drawn to buy many flowery images. However, my lovely friend Diane sent me this set from Altenew and I love it! So maybe I should buy some more florals and see what I can do with them?! Check it out-

Flower

I first heat embossed the rose and the stem onto a vellum panel. Then I did some watercoloring on the back of the panel. Since vellum is translucent, you can see the watercolor from the front. I adhered it to a white card base then added a sentiment (from the same stamp set) with some foam squares.

I used the colors from this weeks CTD challenge as inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!

Let’s Get Lit

Hey, everyone! I have a super clean and simple card to share today! It’s almost one layer, but I just couldn’t pull that off.

I started by doing some light stenciling with a wave stencil from Neat & Tangled and Distress Ink. Then I stamped and heat embossed some drinks and the large sentiment from CZ Design.  Then a subsentiment finished it off.

Boo!

Hi, makers! I have a Halloween card to share today! Earlier I said I was only going to make one Halloween card this year, but when I saw the challenge them over at Newton’s Nook, I had to play along!

I used the the bear from Sweater Weather for this Halloween card. A stencil and Distress Ink completely the background. And a couple letter dies made up the sentiment. This is a pretty simple card but it packs quite the Halloween punch!

CAS Smile

Hi, people! Today I have a clean and simple card that was inspired by the Wednesday Sketch Challenge at the MFT blog. Check it out-

Smile

I started by making some score marks on the bottom section of the card. You can’t really see them in the photo, but trust me they are there!! Then I masked off that section and did some stenciling with the MFT Radiating Rays stencil and 2 shades of purple Distress Ink. My go-to word die, the Smile Dies from MFT, made its way onto the center of the card to complete the CAS design. I am in love with CAS cards and this is one of my favorites. There is texture and dimension but a lot of white space.

Let me know if you played along with the challenge, I love seeing everyone’s interpretation of the sketch!  Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day!

A Halloween Hello

Hi, everyone! I’ve got my first, and probably last, Halloween card of the year to share with you today. I used colors from Color Throwdown and a sketch from MFT as inspiration. Check it out-

I used MFT’s Witch Way is the Candy stamp set, stitched circles, and some Distress Inks on this card to create a Halloween night. I don’t really dig the sentiments with 2 sizes, so I did some surgery and cut off the big hello from the set and inserted a smaller hello from a different set to create a consistently sized greeting. I hope you can’t notice it’s not meant to be like that! Some simple Copic coloring and paper layering completed the card.

LOL

Hi, everyone!! Can we talk about inappropriate cards?! Because they are my favorite. I hesitate to post them, though. Y’all will either love them or hate them. But I love them so that’s enough, right? The theme over at CASology this week is LOL. At first I thought about using an AI old lady- because, they’re hilarious. But then I saw my new stencil from SSS and needed to try it out. So here is what I came up with-

I ink blended over the stencil using way too many shades of green. Then added splatter, splatter, and more splatter. A heat embossed greeting from Gina Marie Designs was the perfect touch of humor and snark and I am in love with this card.

I was able to work out my lighting problems in my craft garage today, too! Turns out it wasn’t a lighting problem at all. It was an editing problem! I have always just used Instagram’s editor. But my friend Lauren from @fargofarmhouse on Instagram suggested I use a different app. Snapseed was the solution! Anyways, I hope you like the card and sorry for the long chat. Have a great day!

You’re the Best

Hello, everyone! I am back with a card along with a matching envelope! I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as inspiration.

I loved the sketch and thought that I would try my hand at the challenge. Check out my interpretation.

I used an Altenew cover die over some Distress Ink blending on a gray card base, This was a really simple card but I love the design.
