Mini Slim Lines with TE

Howdy, card folk! Today I have a trio of mini slim line cards to share with you! They all feature some sweet new products from Taylored Expressions! See the whole release HERE! Take a look!

On this card, I used the Little Critters stamp set along with the Mini Slim Square Window die. I love Copic coloring critters, and these window dies are the perfect spot to put a peeking critter. I did some simple ink blending behind each window and added a white heat embossed sentiment strip to complete the card.

On this card, I went for spring time rainbow vibes. I cut seven colors of cardstock with the new Mini Slim Diagonal Stripe cutting plate and inlaid the pieces to create a colorful, pastel backdrop. The HEY comes from the new Cap It Off Alpha dies. I thought white letters would be a nice break from all that color! And to complete this card, a simple white heat embossed sentiment strip from Just Saying.

This card features the new Mini Slim Trifold Template +Die – Hexagon. I used the included templates to line up the hexagon dies and ran them through my machine. Then I did some stenciling with the Stencil Strips – Love stencil. A cute image from Millie’s Birthday Bash and a sentiment banner from Balloon Bouquet Additions completed this card.

Stripping It Up with TE

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! Who doesn’t love strips?! Especially when they are funny and snarky. And when they are on sale?! EVEN BETTER.

This card features the Mini Strips – Fun and Funny stamps set. First I stamped, colored, and die cut the birthday cake image from Millie’s Birthday Bash. Then I used the Mini Slim Stencil – Swiss Hearts stencil to create a colorful tone-on-tone background. A sentiment from the Fun and Funny sentiment set completed this card.

This card features one of my favorite new sets: Simple Strips – Snarky. The latest edition of the simple strip line has some of the most unique and snarkiest sentiments. I paired the sentiment strip with the skateboard image from Gus & Gertie Ride On. The Heart of Hearts Layering Stencil was the perfect background for this card. I ink blended shades of blue and purple to complete this project.

Happy Hex Card Kit from TE

Hello, friends. Welcome to the grand reveal of the Happy Hex Card Kit from Taylored Expressions!

This card features the individual hexagon stamps from the kits, the alpha stamps, and some simple Copic coloring on colored card stock. I stamped the hexagons in a dark yellow color, then shaded them in some yellow Copics to make them look a little more dimensional. The sentiment uses the “oh” from the sentiment stamps and the alpha letters from the kit to spell out “oh HONEY” which I thought went perfect with the honeycomb inspired background.

This card uses the cling stamp included in the kit to create a colorful background. I stamped the hexagons pattern in Lollipop, Jelly Donut, and Blueberry ink. Then I filled in the pattern with matching Copic markers. I die cut the smaller hexagons from white cardstock to add a pop of dimension. A stamped sentiment completed this card.

Thanks for stopping by to check out the Happy Hex Kit from Taylored Expressions! Have a great day!

Valentine’s Release with TE

Hey, friends!

Yesterday Taylored Expressions released a brand new bunch of Valentine’s Day products along with a few year-round sets, too! Check out a few of the cards I have made with some of the new goodies.

This card features the new Hearts a Plenty background stamp and fill in images. I stamped the background of hearts in Sugar Cube ink then tried some off-set stamping with shades of pink, red, and blue to give it some fun color. A simple sentiment strip finished off this clean and simple card.

This snarky cat from Love from Max & Millie might be my favorite thing ever. I love its unimpressed face combined with the sweet Valentine’s Day attire. I created a mini-slim line card to showcase this unamused feline. I used Poppy Seed card stock for the background and stenciled on some Sugar Cube ink using the XOXO stencil from Stencil Strips of Love. A sassy sentiment strip added a bright pop of pink and the perfect amount of sass.

This card features the Gus & Gertie Ride On stamp set. I stamped and Copic colored the car image then used the coordinating dies to cut it out. A simple but striking background made by squishing mini ink cubes directly to paper was the perfect colorful backdrop for Gus & Gertie. Vellum toned down the bright colors and a simple sentiment strip completed this project.

Thanks for stopping by! Are you excited for Valentine’s Day? I know I am!
