Spotted You First

Hi, guys! I have a really fun card to share with you today! I used the funniest little giraffe from Maple & Ink, I love his blank expression like he got caught eating those leaves when he shouldn’t have been or something like that.

I was inspired by the cue card LOUD at CASology and the current sketch at (CAS)E this Sketch.

ย

To me, LOUD meant lots of bold colors! And the sketch was perfect for adding splatters and a focal image with a sentiment strip to ground it. Check it out-

I Copic colored the giraffe and ink blended the background. The same colors I ink blended with were used as spatter, too. I love the sorta 90s graphic look of this card. Reminds me of a jazzercise outfit for some reason…let me know what you think!

CAS Chef Card

Hello, everyone! I’m back to share a card for a couple of challenges- MFT’s Sketch Challenge and Color Throwdown’s Color Challenge.

I really loved the diagonal stripes from the sketch and thought that they would look really cool with some ink blending. So here’s what I came up with-

phonto.jpg

I started by white heat embossing the brick background from MFT and ink blending a couple diagonal stripes to mimic the sketch. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks. I cut down the panel to fit behind a Single Stitched Rounded Rectangle Frame from MFT. A fun little green accented Chef, also from MFT, along with a coordinating heat embossed sentiment finished it off.

I am really happy to be back to making cards for fun and not just for design teams. This card was very fun to create! Thank you for stopping by and have a great day

UGG… Let’s GO Clubbing

Hey, guys! Sorry for the month long absence! I am much more active on Instagram, so if you don’t follow me over there, please do, I am much more active on IG. But anyways, here is a card I made for the current challenge of at Fusion!

I really loved the combination of the navy and white patterns paired withย the tan elements of the photo inspiration. I used those colors as the combo for this card and made sure to keep it clean and simple!

I started by free-handing some navy stripes on the left side of the card base. Then, using the Single Stitched Rounded Rectangle Frames from MFT, which are the coolest dies ever, I cut 4 pieces of kraft paper to layer up onto my card. Then I used the most hilariously punny stamp set from Maple & Ink, called UGG,ย to be the stars of the card. I stamped, colored with Copics, and fussy cut them out before popping them up in the frame. A caveman sentiment that I white heat embossed onto navy cardstock finished it off. On the inside I stamped a coordinating stamp set from the set- LET’S GO CLUBBING.

Thanks fro stopping by! Hope to be back soon!

Isn’t this little set the coolest! It is perfect for spring and summer! I have an aunt who loves sunflowers and this card is going to be sent her way! Check it out-

molly

I started by stamping and coloring Molly using my BRAND NEW Spectrum Noir markers and fussy cut her out. I backed her with a doily from Stampin’ Up! I created a shaker card using a postage stamp die to create the frame and added some green plaid paper as a backing. Some Kat Scrappiness sequins and Honey Bee Stamps jewels filled up the shaker. Some twine and buttons finished it off.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you check out the other inspiration from the SAT blog!

Cactus๐ŸŒต๐ŸŒต๐ŸŒต

Hi guys! I decided to participate in a couple challenges today! I was running low on mojo and wasn’t too happy with the results but I think it’s still going to bring some happiness to someone’s mailbox! I used the sketch from (CAS)E This Sketch and colors from Cupcake Inspirations.

I really loved the sketch and will probably make a couple more cards using it once I get some mojo back! This card isn’t my usual style but I still enjoyed making it! Check it out!

I started by adhering some of that really cool patterned paper to thebcard base. Then I diagonally cut a plain panel and stamped a Mama Elephant sentiment using Distress Ink. After foam mounting it to the card base I added a trio of enamel dots to finish it off.

Spotlight Watercolor

Hi everyone! Time Out Challenges is celebrating their 3rd birthday with a super challenge! The theme is love/friendship with an optional twist of spotlight coloring.

I decided to try some sun ray spotlighting and only color in areas of the “sun rays” for my card. Here’s how it turned out-

IMG_6722.JPG

I started by stamping a W+9 floral on two corners. Then I drew on some pencil lines to guide my watercoloring. I used the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Distress Inks. A simple sentiment from Mama Elephant cut out with a circle die finished it off!

Thanks for stopping by! There’s still a couple days to play along with the challenge!

CYCI 149

Hi everyone! It’s Sunday and that means there’s a me CanYouCaseIt? Challenge up! This week we are welcoming back SKETCHES! Check out this one from Rose-

I loved the wonky layered panels and wanted to make them my main focus.

IMG_6695

So I cut down some patternedย paper for my base panel. Then, using a few landscape dies, I built the springtime scene where the jackelope could roam freely! A punny sentiment and some ribbon finished it off!

This typically isn’t my style and that’s what I love about sketch challenges! They always push me out of my box. Hope to see you playing along this week over on our new FB page!!!
