Easter Release with TE

Happy release, day crafty friends! Easter is one of my favorite holidays, especially when it comes to card making. I love the pastel colors, bunnies, and punny sentiments that are usually used when making an Easter card.

This card features the Be Joyful stamp set and Handlettered Easter dies along with the Pierced Lattice cutting plate. I wanted to try to achieve an Easter egg inspired background. So I grabbed some mini ink cubes and started ink smooshing, flickering, and dropping ink and water onto a panel. After it dried, I ran it through my cutting machine with the Pierced Lattice cutting plate. A purple sentiment from the Be Joyful set finished this simple, but colorful Easter card.

This colorful card uses the Oh Hoppy Day stencil and coordinating Bunny Tails and Bunch o’ Bunnies. The tag was created using the stencil and a few colors of ink along with my favorite blending brushes. I added the tag to a card base stamped with the Playful Plaid background stamp. A simple sentiment strip and coordinating bunny completed this card.

This mini slimline card uses the beautiful Unexpected Blessing stamp set. This clean and simple card was so easy to make, but I love the how the simplicity showcases the thoughtful message. I stamped and Copic colored the florals with Copic markers and added highlights with a white gel pen.

This mini slimline card used the Pennant Parade – Easter stamp set. I stamped the banners in my favorite Easter colors and added hand drawn outlines to give it a whimsical vibe. A simple stamped sentiment completed this quick and easy card.

Field Notes Kit from TE

Hello, crafty people! Taylored Expressions has a brand new card kit and it is amazing! The florals are so beautiful and the watercolor paper that is included makes me feel so artsy!

On this card I used the the floral image from the Sketchbook Bouquet image included in the kit. I tried some simple no-line watercoloring with a few TE mini ink cubes. A stamped sentiment, clear sequins, and some splatter pulled this card together.

On this card I wanted to test my bravery. I spent many minutes coloring the beautiful bouquet image then decided to chop it in half! I almost couldn’t bring myself to slice up these flowers, but I found the courage and went for it! I sandwiched a sentiment between the florals and added the panel to a Sea Salt card base.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today and don’t forget to check out the card kit! Have a great day!

St. Paddy’s Day Release with TE

Hey, card makers! You are in LUCK today! There is a new release from Taylored Expressions and it is all about St.Patrick’s Day! I am not Irish, but I do enjoy SPD cards! Check out what I made with a few of the new products:

On this card, I used the brand new Shamrocks Stamp & Stencil Combo along with the Cap It Off Alpha dies. I first stamped the red rubber cling background stamp in green ink. Then some ombre ink blending with the stencil created an awesome St. Patrick’s Day background. I love the You’re My Pot ‘O Gold sentiment from Mini Strips- St. Patrick’s Day, but I thought just a sentiment strip was not quite festive enough. So I die cut GOLD from Cap It Off Alphas to emphasize the GOLD. I added the panel to a Sea Salt card base.

This mini slim line card features the Lucky Leprechaun Cling & Clear Combo set. I stamped, colored, and die cut 2 of the lucky leprechauns and used them as the Os in my GOOD LUCK sentiment. The rest of the letters come from the Cap It Off Alpha dies. A brick background was the perfect touch of interest without taking away from the sentiment.
